Sri Sheshadri's Biography


Sri V.Sheshadri

V. Sheshadri is one of the most experienced and respected Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga teachers in the world. He teaches in the traditional style as passed down from Sri Krishnamacharya, Sri Pattabhi Jois, and his guru, Sri BNS Iyengar and Guruji Prakash Yogi.

Sri Sheshadri began teaching in 1994 at the Renukacharya Temple, and continued to teach there until 2000. He started teaching Western students there in 1998.

In 2001 he started teaching at the Mysore Mandala. This was where Sri Sheshadri started being introduced to more Western students. It was here that he gained his fame for being a very attentive teacher with a great sense of the students' needs. He developed his style of assisting students with deep adjustments to get them to fulfil their potential. This is the part of teaching that he enjoys the most, whether with students who are new to yoga or more advanced ones.

Sri Sheshadri has a keen sense for detail in the postures and he has been able to pass this on to hundreds of students who are now trained through his Teacher Training courses.

In addition, Sri Sheshadri has been passing on his knowledge of yoga teaching to his son Harish. Sri Sheshadri and Harish have been teaching together on a daily basis since 2004. Sri Sheshadri feels that a yoga teacher is the link between God and the students and that he is passing on this ancient tradition to his son.

Sri Sheshadri has made First Yoga Workshop in Austria, Veinna in 2006.Again in 2007,Sheshadri traveled to Berlin and Cologne in Germany on his teaching tour. In 2009 Sri Sheshadri was accompanied by his son Harish to European countries. They completed a one-month tour of Europe which included Austria, France and Germany.

In 2010, he has completed the workshop in Europe which also include Austria, France ,Budapest.In 2011 and 2012 he is regularly visiting Europe Countries for Yoga Workshop.

In 2012 , with Europe trip he has done Yoga workshop in Thailand and Lebanon.
